Ecclesiastical Choir of the Archdiocese of Beirut Fall Concert

Please mark the date of Saturday, September 22nd on your calendars. That evening, the Ecclesiastical Choir of the Archdiocese of Beirut will hold a concert of Byzantine music in our Cathedral. This will be the final stop of a two-week tour of the Midwest and East coast. Look for more details in the months to come, but in the meantime, please SAVE THE DATE!!!!!!

Feast of Ascension

The Feast of our Lord's Ascension (40 days after Pascha) is Thursday, May 24. We will celebrate the feast as follows:

Wednesday, May 23, 2012, Vesperal Divine Liturgy at 7:00pm at St. Mary Church in Bay Ridge. Fast from the noon meal for Holy Communion

2011-2012 Orthodox Lecture Series

Beginning last November, the Antiochian and Greek Orthodox parishes of Brooklyn started their annual monthly lecture series. The lectures are held on a Thursday night once a month. Each month's lecture will be delivered by a different presenter. The overall theme for the lectures is: "The Emmaus Journey: St. Paul's first letter to the (Brooklynites) Corinthians as a guide for the Church today" The last lecture for the 2011-2012 series will take place on Thursday, June 14th at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 1822 65th Street, Brooklyn, NY at 7:00. The topic is "Church Order and Gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians Chapters 11-13)." Father Haralambos Politis is the June speaker. . Click here for the flyer and church addresses.

Save the Date for our Fellowship of St. John the Divine Spring Hafli on Saturday May 19, 2012 featuring Eddie Osama and Ensemble. The cost is $50.00 for adults before May 13, 2012 and $60.00 thereafter. Children 12 and under are $25.00 before May 5 and $35.00 thereafter.
