As we celebrate the 115th Anniversary of our Mother Cathedral in 2010, it is important that we know our history and where we came from. We are please to announce our fifth annual St. Raphael of Brooklyn Festival on Saturday, October 2 2010. This festival will take place in the small parking lot of the church beginning at 11:00 am and going until 6:00 pm.

Church Picnic

We will have our annual church picnic on Sunday, August 22 immediately following the Divine Liturgy at Manhattan Beach Park (across from Sheepshead Bay near Kingsborough Community College). The Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Cathedral that morning will be at 9:30am and we will proceed directly to the picnic. Everyone should bring his own food and drinks. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Hamelat El-Teeb "Card" Party

Mark Your Calendars for October 16!

The ladies of the Hamelat El-Teeb (Myrrh-Bearing Women) are hosting their third annual "card" party on Saturday, October 16, 2010 in the Cathedral hall from 12:30 to 5:00 pm. At the "card" party, there will be numerous baskets and gift items that you may buy tickets for and place them in the various baskets or items you would like to win. At the end of the afternoon, there will be a drawing for each basket. Food and beverages will also be available.

This event is open to the public and the proceeds will go toward a new Hamelat El-Teeb's project of continued beautification of the Cathedral to be determined at a later time. For additional information click here to download the flier for the event.
