We would like to welcome you to the official website of St. Nicholas Cathedral. St. Nicholas is the mother Cathedral and seat of the Metropolitan of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. It is also the first community established by St. Raphael of Brooklyn in 1895. 2020 marks both the 125th anniversary of our establishment by St. Raphael and the 100th anniversary of our State Street location. If you would like more information, feel free to contact Father Thomas Zain, the Cathedral's Dean.
We will have a Spring Mother’s Day Hafli on Bright Friday (the Friday after Pascha), Friday, May 10th at Dyker Beach Golf Course. All proceeds will go to our building project. The hafli will be in honor Fr. Thomas on his 30th anniversary in the holy priesthood. See the attached flier for details. We look forward to your support.

It is printed in Arabic and English for your convenience. Confessions will be heard prior to and after Holy Week services, however, please come early in the week. No confessions will be heard before the Paschal Vigil on Saturday evening. Finally, there are three Pre-Sanctified Liturgies scheduled for Monday-Wednesday mornings of Holy Week at 9:00am. Monday and Wednesday's liturgy will be at St. Mary Church in Bay Ridge and Tuesday morning (along with all other services on those days) will be at St. Nicholas.

The following is the schedule of services for the Great Fast (excluding the regular Sunday Divine Liturgies) that begins on Monday, March 18 (actually sunset on the evening of March 17). Please use this as a guide for the times of the services. There are also some other minor changes this year like the Feast of the Annunication on March 25th which is a Monday this year. Please remember that we will have our weekly Friday night Lenten potlucks at 6:30pm prior to the Madeyeh (Akathist) services. We will post the Holy Week and Pascha schedule closer to Holy Week.
